Charles Ennis, the Asterism Detective, was an actual police detective with Vancouver BC Police. He is an astronomer, a past president of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, and the founder of the World Asterism Project. This project is a resource of CASCA (Canadian Astronomical Society), and is part of Harvard’s library resources. He is the author of several books for the R.A.S.C. Ennis was the host of a television show on astronomy called “Night Lights” which ran for ten years. The Detective knows his asterisms.
